Bookstores have always been a large part of my life. As a kid, my Saturday trip into Peterborough from the Reserve wouldn't be complete without spending time at a book store.
Sometime on March 15, the Authors for Indies website will go live. I say ‘sometime’ because I’m in New Zealand at the moment, so coordinating things is a bit interesting. Here’s the latest: marketing, guest blogs, and statistics:
Bookstores will be flooded with emails from authors offering to volunteer at their stores. How can you make it easier for them to say “YES!”.
It’s taken this long to get around to a formal thank you for signing up to this event. Thank you! Many of you have asked what you can do to help.Right now, the single most important thing you can do is to contact a store and volunteer
Dear Booksellers:My name is Mary-Ann Yazedjian. I’m the manager of the Main Street Book Warehouse in Vancouver and also the co-president of the BC Booksellers Association. I’ve been helping Authors for Indies and providing input from the booksellers’ point of view.
We are totally thrilled. Ann-Marie MacDonald, one of Canada's most popular and respected best-selling authors is the face of Authors for Indies! While we're recruiting authors and stores, Ann-Marie's face and letter to authors will grace the Home page. The same letter will go out to authors through various channels.
